They are closed Sunday. They do not take credit cards but he assures me out of state checks are OK.
They are located 3 miles south on Wadsworth from I-70

And there is a Wal-Mart at 9499 Sheridan Blvd., north of the pond.

Attire

Denver is a culturally diverse area. Also media and local friends will be visiting the event. We ask that any politically incorrect armbands and flags be confined to your room and not displayed in windows, at the pond or the banquet.

Altitude (Not Attitude)

You will be battling literally at one mile above sea level. If you are no longer a spring chicken or have health issues or are a little overweight. You may notice shortness of breath. Don't overexert yourself.

And everybody, drink lots of water. You are coming to a high-plains desert. That means you need serious sunscreen, too.

Food

There's lots of fast food for lunch north of the pond on Sheridan Blvd. Apu Smurf recommends the lunch buffet at Yak N Yeti at 8655 Sheridan Blvd.

The hotel does not offer breakfast, but there is a Village Inn a few blocks south of the hotel on Kipling.

The hotel has a brochure of local restaurants for dinner. If you want a taste of true Colorado kitsch, check out Casa Bonita on Colfax Ave. in Lakewood. Maybe not the best Mexican food, but cliff divers, mariachi bands, cowboy shootouts and a huge gift shop.

Family Entertainment

The Air Force Academy is about 90 minutes from the hotel. Contact John Bruder for possible cadet guided tours.

Wings over the Rockies Museum is on the east side of Denver.
