from here choose your destination below:
The directions will seem a little crazy as exit#104 'gets off' at different locations for East vs. West bound traffic!

To get to the Super 8 Motel:
From I-4:
Exit I-4 onto Rt 46 (exit 101C). The hotel is right there at the I-4/Rt46 junction, behind the Waffle House there (If you came from West I-4 you will need to turn left and go under I-4).
From the Pond:
Go under I-4 to the intersection of Rt15. Go right on Rt15 till you come to Rt46. Turn right on Rt46 and go a short way until just before the I-4 ramp (you should see the Waffle House and Super 8).

To get to the Budget Inn:
From I-4 take US-17/US-92 towards PORT OF SANFORD/SANFORD/ZOOLOGICALPARK (exit #104) along Lake Monroe. Continue on NW US-17/92 (go 2.1 mi).  Follow US-17 as it forks to the right.  Continue down US-17 about 6-8 miles (It will eventually become S Orlando Dr), past the Slumberland Motel on your left, past Airport Blvd, and you will eventually see the hotel on your right.

To get to the Pond Site:
From the Super 8 Motel
Leave the motel and turn right immediately onto I-4. Go a mile to the Zoo exit (#104)and that brings you back to the pond road under I-4. Turn left, go under I-4, and then turn right onto Dolgner Pl. Down the road on the left you will see the gate to the pond area (see picture below).

if you leave the pond, go under I-4 to the intersection where the convience store is on the right, take a right there, go south about a mile, you’ll pass the Flightline hobby shop on your left and come to Rt 46, go right about ˝ mile toward I-4 and the Waffle House is right before I-4 on ramp toward Daytona. The Super 8 is right behind it.

This is the new place to stay for the regional battles. It is about 1/2 mile from the pond AND close to the local hobby shop! Be sure to tell them to check with the manager (Ron Smith) and that you are with the model warship club to get the reduced rate.

This is the former place to stay for the regional battles. It is down the road from the old Slumberland hotel, and its pool is more isolated behind the hotel for privacy. There is also a decent sized pond behind it, and the hotel has a dock for testing you boats!

"For the Family"
for those looking for more to do while down in Florida or for entertainment for the accompanying family members:

Disney World, Epcot, Animal Kingdom - need I say more?!

Downtown Disney - Disney's hub of shopping, dining, entertainment, and nightlife.  The Rainforest Cafe is a great place for dinner, but be sure to stop by and make reservations early.

Central Florida Zoological Park - A fun and educational way to entertain the kids for a while.  Very close. Located right in Sanford, you drive right past the entrance as you arrive (from the Georgia direction).

Shopping - Orlando is home to 8 major shopping malls. From themed shopping botiques to outlet malls and everything in between.  Click Here to see a list.
